HEATING TREATMENT OF WOOD
HEAT CONCEPT also offers solutions for the heat treatment of wood.
In the 1980s, the Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne developed a wood treatment process called Rétification (composed from the words réticulation and torréfaction), whose industrialization will be carried out by the company Fours et Brûleurs REY. The basic principle is to heat the wood at high temperature without adding synthetic products in order to modify its chemical composition and appearance.
ELTI and REY ovens can also be used for wood roasting processes, in air or under a controlled atmosphere, in particular for the treatment of alternatives used in oenology for oaking wine.
